Miniature packaging

 Miniaturized packaging

Introduction:
It is an intelligent and promising new generation packaging. Indeed they have made the luggage backpacks smaller. Various industries are being catered and in this digital world with digital nomads, people are travelling and travelling.

Food and beverage industry:
Miniaturized packaging has opened up vast options for single-serving portions. Smaller portions are easier to carry, fit the pocket and eco-friendly. Our values for not wasting any portion of food is maintained by means of miniature packs like small tetra pack bottled juices, sauce sachets, sauce dip pots and many more in the number. Even elegance and flavours got added with added options of packaging. Having condiments served in sauce dip pots is more elegant and sophisticated rather than pouring in a separate container.
Even the takeaway food stores were introduced with the same concept that people do value time and can eat while they travel while rushing to the office while going back home while being hungry, of course.

Cosmetics industry:
Single serving packs of cosmetics have made them again very easy to carry. There are plenty of cosmetics to try from. As far as cosmetics are concerned, every consumer wants to try before adopting it. When available in miniature packs, it becomes relevant and increases the probability for a consumer to give in a trial. And when we talk of travelling, a lot has to be carried along. Starting from the toothpaste, shower gels, shampoos, the list is big. Who on adventure camp would like to carry heavy luggage? Miniature packaging has solved its purpose by making these things available in custom single servings.

Healthcare:
Some healthcare products like effervescent antacids or multivitamins come in miniature single-serve packs. Open the pack, pour in the glass, drink the mixture and dispose of the pack. Again easy to carry while travelling.

Value food with smaller portions

Value food with smaller portions

Introduction of smaller portion packs:
Food industry came up with the smaller portion sizes to introduce samples of their products in the market in a cost-effective manner. They wanted their tastes to reach every taste bud. And when the consumers started liking particular products from the companies, they started buying larger portion packs.
But, the scenario somehow took to change when the smaller portion packs were liked by the consumers more as compared to buying larger packs. What was once introduced to introduce a product changed into the best-seller. Smaller pack sizes could reach a number of consumers for their being pocket-friendly, eco-friendly and value for the content.
We value food and we do not wish to get it wasted. Once out of the packet but not used up has to visit the dust-bin. Neither it can be rebottled nor can it be eaten. SO, the smaller portion packs like sauce dip pots and sauce sachets are serving the purpose.

Every taste is different:
When a new taste is introduced, we are never sure whether we are going to cherish its delighted taste or it is going to turn out to be a worse experience. With new flavours emerging daily, the consumer will be more inclined to go for smaller packs until tasted and tried. If he likes it, it is good. Even if he doesn't, at least neither the food got wasted nor the money.

Saviours from contamination:
Smaller portion packs also turned out to be saviours from contamination. Larger portions once opened are subject to contaminants every single time they are being opened. While the case goes entirely different. Smaller portions like sauce dip pots are generally meant for a single serving. You open it when you want to eat it and dispose of off when you are done. Next time, next serving you will eat will be the same as was when packed, free from contamination.

Single serving packaging options

The idea of Inception:
During travelling, one never wants to carry larger portion packs. The idea of single-serving packs emerged out of the need for smaller portions that can be carried easily. Moreover, for the manufacturer, it is a boon. What public could not afford in larger packs, they made it available within their budget. Single-serving packs are consumed at a faster rate than larger portion packs.
Having smaller portions packed makes it much convenient to monitor the usage.

Single-serving sachets:
Single-serving sachets revolutionized the market when they were introduced as a means of packaging option. They made the same expensive bottled content available in a very small portion intended for a single serving just within the reach of almost every pocket.

Single serving dip pots:
Dip pots are yet another amazing packaging technique employed by Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Apart from single-serving sachets, single-serving dip pots are also taking a lead. While sachets are a preferred option when packing small portions of sauces, shampoos, detergents, spices, herbs, etc. Dip pots generally come in use for condiment packs. The word dip pot is in itself suggesting a sauce dip you may use to dip in your snack and eat. Sauce dip pots have gained a lot of attention and attraction in the takeaway food sector. Sauce dip pots are an easy way to serve the customers with a variety of flavours to enjoy the food.
When multiple flavours are available in smaller portions, the buyer tends to buy and try which weighs quite heavy on the pocket if he/she has to buy a whole big portion just for the purpose of taste.
Single-serving packs have minimized the wastage. Since the contents cannot be re-bottled when taken out for use, they lose their shelf-life. Hence, smaller portions are opened only when required. This saves the contents from being wasted.

Advantages of Sachets

Advantages of Sachets

Cost-effectiveness:
Having sachets as a small portion packages meant for single serving are very cost-effective and pocket-friendly. For the companies introducing their products in sachets, it becomes an important cost-cutting tool that maximizes the sale and reduces packaging cost. The sale gains weight since the consumer who does not want to purchase bigger portions will tend to buy smaller portions and that too in a pocket-friendly manner.

Handy:
Handling and carrying sachets are far easier than carrying the larger portion packs. Sauces, shampoos, detergents and many more come in bigger portion bottled packs. They can't be carried while travelling or for short trips. Instead, it becomes much easier and convenient when the same thing gets handy as single-serving smaller portion packs. Just the idea took up the FMCG sector and introduced were the sauce sachets, detergent sachets, shampoo pouches.

Use and throw:
Simple packaging allows the contents of the sachets to be used and the packet is thrown easily. While the similar things coming in glass bottles or bigger packs have to be carried during travelling until you find the proper disposal bin or site.

Single-serving:
You can find sachets intended for single serving packs like sauce sachets, spiced sachets, etc. in any drive-through eat points. They make the job easier both for the seller as well as the buyer. Pouring the condiment takes more time rather than keeping as sachet along with the snack in the delivery bag.

Leak-proof:
The sachets are sealed from three or four sides. This makes them leak-proof and you can keep them safely anywhere without having worried about the contents getting leaked. While the larger portion bottled packs tend to leak from the top of the bottle gets turned upside down in a luggage bag while travelling contaminating other accompaniments.

Presentation:
Small sachets have enhanced the elegance and are more presentable.

Sachets: The miniature packagings

Sachets and Kinds
Definition:
A sachet is a small bag containing a small portion of anything being intended to be packed and used. Sachets have been used since long. The packed content has been changed from time to time, but the intention is the same: Packing a small portion.

Packed Contents:
Thinking of sachets, what comes to our minds are sauce sachets, potpourri sachets, herbs sachets, spices sachets, dips sachets, medicine sachets, scented sachets. shampoo sachets, toothpaste sachets and many more.

Intended uses:
Sachets have emerged out of the idea of packing a small portion that can be put to use. The usages have evolved as per the demands of small-sized packaging.
Classically and traditionally, scented and aromatic small porous bags were easily made at home. Every home would carry either some spices packed in small bags or some herbs and plant parts packed in small sachet bags to impart a varied range of fragrances put in between the sack of clothes to naturally scent them.
But with emerging demands in the FMCG sector, some sauce dips, etc. needed to be packed in very small portions. What is eaten as a small portion has to be packed has a small portion, just like the idea of sauce sachets. While buying us breakfast or a snack, we may not want to carry a whole lot of big bottles or sauces in some open stuff to be found spilt over our clothes. So, small portions that are consumed in one go on an average was planned and packed in sachet bags. Porous bags are used for fragrance bags, silica gel bags, wherever the passage of air is intended. While in sachets such as that of sauces, shampoos, toothpaste, detergents, medicines, non-porous materials are used. Aluminium sachets, paper sachet have evolved for meeting the demands of creating leak-proof handy bags for packing small portions of fast consumables.

Google is not the only search engine

“I own a website for my business and it appears not until the fifth or sixth page of Google.” This is what a website owner told when asked about his online presence. We inquired if he had tried Search Engine Optimization. To this, he replied that he tried it once and the effort brought his website on the second page. But it stayed there only for a couple of days.

After an indulgent conversation, what we realized that to this owner, Google and search engine are synonymous. And this was just one case out of our hundreds of surveys.

The fact is Google is just a single search engine. And the amazing fact is that Google has evolved in such a way that it has eclipsed all other search engines. There are many more engines though all lag far behind Google. And some of them are Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, CC Search, Swisscows, DuckDuckGo, StartPage, Search encrypt, Gibiru, OneSearch, Wiki, Boardreader, giveWater, Ekoru and the list is long. We are sure you were not familiar with more than any three of these. But they do exist.

The point we would like to bring to your attention is that when a proper SEO is done, it targets not only Google. It targets your online presence regardless of your location on any search engine. And top SEO companies outrival others through this strategic approach. And there are many more differences; we will come to them in our following posts.

B2B digital marketing

B2B marketing: An Introduction

Before diving deep into the strategic plans, let us first get introduced to B2B concept. B2B is an acronym for Business-to-Business. It is a connecting bridge between two businesses. Here, the middle man provides business to the one it purchases from. And at the same time, it also provides business opportunity to the one to whom it sells. So, it exists as a transaction between businesses.

B2B digital marketing:

Ever since the rise of the internet, the marketing approach and trends changed extensively. Internet is that technical breakthrough which transformed the real world into the digital world. When the B2B concept is applied on an online platform for buying, selling and re-selling, it gets the term, ‘digital’.

Where ever there is a demand, there exists the supply. The early concept of marketing was to sell to the nearest consumers and earn. The desire to make one’s products reach to a potential buyer located on the other end of the globe and capitalize on the global market evolved the concept of e-commerce.

The e-commerce markets have grown at high rates owing to many attributions. It has helped both buyers and the sellers to overcome the geographical barriers that limited the sale and purchase of goods or services across the limited regions. It has made products available for sale or purchase anytime and from anywhere.

Digital B2B market made this demand and supply chain to land on an online platform where the product or the service can directly reach its consumer. Employing the use of influencers and affiliates, social commerce channels, digital marketing is still expanding.

The technological advancements have further improved this platform by making new connections which are stronger and better than they ever were.

Online marketing has been successful only because of B2B marketers. Without this connecting link, the product from the manufacturer cannot reach the final consumer. Two roads cannot connect without a rigid bridge. So, B2B is a here to stay market.

Why B2B Digital Marketing?

Any marketer has two options:

  1. Adaptation: This is when a marketer adapts and makes changes in the supplies of the product(s)/service(s) according to the needs of the customers.
  2. Evolution: This is when a seller creates something before its demand. And then market it by creating its demand.

The extent of the world getting digital can be estimated with the fact that for most of the people, mornings start with the internet on their smartphones. Just like everything is moving online, so is the market. A few years back, the online market didn’t even exist. But, as on today, it has become a billion-dollar market. When the purchaser is purchasing almost everything online, the seller who does not approach this platform for marketing will soon vanish.

With increasing competition in everything, the sources, suppliers of goods and service providers have also proliferated. Companies have started using networking over telecommunication to enhance their sales. With increasing competition, to stay ahead and outrival the digital competitors, you need digital marketing. Door to door marketing, advertising over printed media is restricted only to the local sales (which is also decreasing day by day), not the ones that exist on the global level. Advertisement can fulfil its purpose only if it is displayed on a medium within the reach of the purchaser.
